BERKLEY FIRELINE

Berkley have a new fireline about to be released soon although it looks white in colour its properties are exactly the same as the original fireline apart from it being totally transparent. its called Fireline Crystal,I will post more info and pictures soon

BERKLEY GULP BAITS

An artificial bait / lure which looks like the real thing, being water based it will eventually dissolve in water so it is environmentally friendly. Gulp Bait comes in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be used as a lure fished over wrecks, reefs or rough ground for predators like Bass and Pollack or it can be fished as a static bait on the sea bed. Gulp Bait can easily be cut or trimmed to suit required bait sizes or fished whole.

I was a bit sceptical when I first saw this stuff, I knew that most of it would work as a lure fished over wrecks ( and it does - with great success ) but I was totally gobsmacked ( so was Phill Williams - Boat Fishing Monthly ) when a 5 lb Cod took just a few minutes to fall for a New Penny flavoured Shrimp in the River Mersey, since then I have tried many other shapes and flavours, most of which have caught fish - believe me, Gulp Bait works. A handy item to carry in your tackle box.

There are some new patterns and flavours in the pipeline, these include, Sandeel, Worms, Fish Fillets and hook sized strips, I will keep you informed as to how these perform when I get to try them out
