Uptiding
TACKLE
Uptide Rods of 2-8 oz or 4-10 oz, Abu 7000 size reel, 20 lb braid / mono, 4/0 Pennell traces of 24'' length, 6 to 8 oz fixed wire grip leads
Bait
BIG, BIG Cocktails such as Lug or Rag / Squid, Lug or Rag / Mussel, Peeler Crab and Razor Fish. Mackerel or Sand Eel will take Whiting, top bait for Cod are lug and squid cocktails
Winter Cod Fishing on the River Mersey, can on occasions be very productive, there are always plenty of Dabs and Whiting available over slack water and during October and mid November plenty of Thornback Rays
